Usual Day in Kuwait

Just a usual day in Kuwait: Dad is arguing with the Haress over payment for washing the car, however not even sign language can communicate between these two. I stand on the step watching in amusement and laugh even more when the Haress thinks that I can translate for them. Sorry! The blonde speaks Latin, but no Arabic. Mom's clever plan is to find the housekeeper who perhaps can translate that Dad definitely paid him already this month. So out comes our Indian housekeeper with the bells tinkling on her skirt. She explains that Baba has already paid him for this month and last month. After much arguing the Haress finally agrees but claims he is owed for March! We finally give up, out of time and pile into the car as the Haress continues to wash it even as we try to pull out.

Yes, I'm home. Home where two people will try to wash your car and demand payment. Home where people try to scam you for money but ultimately leave with payment and better paid by the Americans.
